09/04/2007 HURRICANE HYMNS CD/DVD TO BENEFIT TOURISM

Several St. Bernard Parish natives have contributed to an 11-song commemorative multimedia CD.  The project is sponsored by the Meraux Foundation of St. Bernard Parish, with 50 percent of the profits going to the St. Bernard Tourism Department on behalf of the Sponsor, The Meraux Foundation. 

The CD showcases more than 100 photos of the devastation Katrina caused in St. Bernard Parish and the Metro area and includes the song "River Rhythm," written by Richard Bulot, and music video of the song "Dreams," written by St. Bernard firefighter Craig Peyton and performed by St. Bernard Resident, Ashley Neff, as well as parish native Jeff Lane, who co-wrote and performed "Where Will the Children Play."

Additional interviews by Ken Winters will be available through a web link in support of this project.  Executive producers of the project are Corrado Giacona, III, Bernie Cyrus, David Eidler & Richard Bulot.

The CD sells for $10 and is available on the internet www.VisitStBernard.com , www.Golden1Productions.com or www.HurricaneHymns.com.  Locally the can be purchased at J&R's Quick Stop on West St. Bernard Highway at Jean Lafitte Parkway in Chalmette or the Olive Branch Emporium Cafe & Gifts, 600 E. Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette.
