2008 ART IN APRIL SPRING ART & GARDEN FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES ART CONTEST FOR MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
Middle and high school students attending public, parochial, private schools or home school are invited to enter the 12th Annual Art in April Art Contest.
Participants must be a permanent resident of St. Bernard Parish or a resident temporarily living outside of the parish at this time.
The award will be given in two-dimension and three-dimension categories. Backing is required on paper entries but framing is not required. Student’s name, address, phone number and the name of the school must be secured to back of art work. Art work may be delivered to the St. Bernard Parish Courthouse on Friday, April 18 from 3 to 6 p.m.
The Fine Arts Show will be open to the public on Friday, April 18 at 6 p.m. and a free outdoor concert will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. featuring “Leif Pedersen’s 1944 Big Band.”
